Well, I don't have an ARB bar but why not go with USA style mount?
Plate had to have a few mm's trimmed from each side and you can just see LED under the taillight to illuminate plate.

I have that style and like it...dead center, nice led light/3rd brake light set up.

Really two different components...license plate holder and 3rd brake light/bracket.

You can actually see the plate lit up in this pic with just the parking lights on.

Hi wes, where did you buy the license plate holder from mate?

Hi,

Ebay is where I got mine - Jeeps R us! Penguin

I've got one and I don't have the fancy rear bar. I just think the standard 'export' licence plate holder is lame.

I'm even thinking of converting my tail lights to USA ones. Don't need the little LED plate light then!

Just be aware the bolts you will need for the bracket don't come with it! From what I can gather from our American friends is they are 12-24 UNC and you just pull out the 4 little bungs and there are threaded holes there.

My 10c

I did the install myself and no it shuts / opens very comfortably. There are a few adjustments you can make, they should all be in the instructions.

Any chance of you scanning the page on the adjustments ? Mine came on the jeep and it is a pig when opening and closing, ARB were not all that helpful

I'll see if I can find it now. But there three adjustments you can do:

- Adjust the red rubber inward or outward to stop it from rattling.

- Adjust catch position to make sure locking pin hits between the guides.

- Adjust a bolt on driver side to increase or decrease tilt angle on the tyre carrier.

I'll try to take photos and post them up to cover what I am talking about.
