Ok, so it's time for my tax cheque to come back (any day now, I'm sure) and so my question is:
Should I go with a 2.5" lift inc Rancho 9000X and moab springs ala http://www.4wd1.com/TJ-Wrangler-Suspension.htm

Or,

Should I do some smaller upgrades, e.g some jks 0-2" discos, etc (i'm actually having a hard time thinking of any 'etc' at the moment...a lift kit has turned my brain to mush...)

Ideas and comments welcome, ftr my jeep is a 06 TJ, no lift, 31" M/T, otherwise stock.
Cheers!

im getting around 1800 back. Just had the 31s put on, so rubber is taken care of. Will the coil spacers screw around with the stock suspension at all? How many ks until you should replace suspension anyways?

when mine comes in thats what im getting

stage 1 lift from 4wd1 with the 9000's

a few people on ajor have the kit and everyone i have spoken to has said its a good kit, if i was you get the 30mm coil spacers too so you have a 3" lift ;)

looks like a good basic lift kit and the 9000's are a quality shock for what your paying

if you add coil spacers to that kit though, wouldn't you have to start looking at a sye? or would the tcase spacers hold it all down enough to maintain the angle of the driveshaft?

dont waste your money on that trash either buy a hd ome kit and add discos or save the money and order a 4 inch currie short arm lift kit and sye and dc shaft from the usa and do it properly .

you make a good point and im unsure, but im going to meet a jeeper on sunday that is running the 2.5" MOAB SPRINGS with 30mm spacers with not sye or dc shaft

he is simply runnning a tranny case drop so ill see what he says and get back to you mate

safe bet would be not to run the spacers untill u get the sye and dc then you might aswell get the 60mm spacer for a bigger lift

or the 3.5'' rock krawler kit with the 4 link rear. $1749 USD , add on another few hundred for shipping, exchange rate, import tax etc and you have a kick ass kit for a VERY good price.

The gov is taking $27.30 more then what I paid in Tax this year :(
I miss the fat Tax refunds I use to get when I was working at Coles... Like a yearly bonus, but with money that was already yours.

Ive got a 2.5inch OME lift with 50mm spaces in it with 33's on. Travels fine and no trouble. Also handles well and if your shockers are long enough, which i highly think so for the Ranchos, then id agree with decaroliss. Do it. And post a photo once complete. Let see your rideeeee
