The ZJ is a Grand Cherokee and thus a bit larger and more luxurious internally. It should be a more comfortable touring vehicle. We had one on the recent SJC Desert Trip and it was very capable and comfortable (it is also solid front axle).

Once you do some homework,you,ll buy an XJ.Alot of Newcastle Jeepers own and use em and theres plenty of mods n parts available.

The mech in Jeep action said the XJ were better due to more parts and less to go wrong. Pretty sure that what they said. :)

The XJ or the ZJ would be alot warmer inside the car while doing the Snow trips than the TJ

i disgree mate, tj is like a furnace.......hardtop or softtop

The only thing i like about the ZJ is the coils suspention all around.....

But the XJ will be alot easyer to lift and it has that nice transfercase that alot for ZJ drivers want.....;)

tj is 2 small...sorta,need more room for gear.love the look of zj and coil all round but steep maintanaince costs,and i think a xj would be better 2 learn in...maybe yes no?

you forgot 4 wheel disk brakes also, as for learning to drive in ones a little lest truck like than the other.
