ECU Code 0133...?

hey guys,

We had the engine light come up and after looking at some info on the net about codes i was able to diagnose code 0133 : Oxygen sensor response slower than minimum required switching frequency.

would anyone know if this means the sensor has to be replaced? there's two O2 sensors from memory - so which one?

if the lights on then its broke buddy...
it wouldnt pop up for no reason, wouldnt hurt to replace both but the code should tell you which one... buy a manual its more specific ?

Replace the first one (upstream/closest to head) only if you're hard up for cash, but both is best.

Make it simple and easy - DON"T get "generic" ones....you'll muck around for ages custumising them to fit.

For my 4.0 ZJ I got them (Bosch Direct Plug-in Replacement type) from rockauto.com the upstream one cost about $47 plus shipping. You might want to get other stuff as well. After you've checked local prices and stock available you'll see they're a real good deal.......and I got them in 3 days!!

The P0133 code is for bank 1, sensor 1, which is the upstream sensor.
