My 2016 JKU Sport is now at 160,000km on the odo and no sign of the known issue with the cracking of the oil filter housing on the 3.6L Pentastar. About 95% of my driving has been in conditions of constant airflow as I rarely bring this vehicle into the city (due to its size) for long idling at traffic lights.
The car has been super reliable and I want to head off any future trouble with this oil filter cooler housing, especially in remote places. If you have experienced failure, what were the approx odo km when it happened? Did you replace it with the oem plastic unit? Does your car spend most of its time in city driving conditions?
