    Stainless steel brake lines

    Hi

Can anyone recommend a place to get standard length Stainless steel brake lines for a 2017 JK in Australia.

I can only seem to find ones that are made for a lift.

These ones from Crown Performance in the states come with a good reputation, and have the mounting bracket to suit behind the front shock - https://www.crownperformance.com/2011-2017-jeep-jk-wrangler-0-2-lift-stainless-steel-brake-line-kit

    Thanks for any pointers.

You could try JeepKonection, which has a 30" line plus extension kit. The JeepKon ones are braided steel and so will b stronger/more durable and have a firmer brake pedal feel than (non steel) Crown ones. Also even without a lift, the extension fitting kit will re-route the brake lines so that u will not have issues with them rubbing etc.

Quadratec.com has a variety of brake lines and lengths for the JK at pretty good prices and, depending on what u buy, probably would work out at half of Aussie prices even when delivered. Crown and Omix are pretty much OEM stuff, and possibly rebranded as Mopar. Nothing wrong with either although u pay a premium for anything marked Mopar. I have never had issues with Crown or Omix stuff...

If you are handy with tools you can buy the bundy tube on a roll, and the flaring tools are not expensive and good tools should not be considered an expense rather an investment.

Yeah - I thought of that as well - then I thought my brake lines are kind of important, and didn't really want those to be my first crack at it !

I looked at the Quadratec ones, but ended up going with the Crown ones from the States. Hoping at least they seem decent quality and not Chinese made.

From memory, and old knowledge, I think Crown stuff is made in Europe (Czechoslovakia, Hungary. Ukraine or similar).... definitely not chinese made. As I said I have had no problems with Crown branded stuff. Quadratec is a distributor of different brands including Crown and its own name brand... I find it one of the best places to source Jeep parts.
