    2005 KJ CRD ECU needed

    Hi All,
I am on the hunt for a second hand 2.8 CRD ECU from a 2005 model Cherokee.

Ideal Serial number I am looking for is 56044561BD

I would also consider anything between 56044562BA to BF or 56044562CA to CF

Please look me up if you have one available or if you have a 2005 Cherokee Limited Diesel wreak that might have one in there.

    Any help would be appreciated

Best let members know where you are located.
Are you sure its the ECU that needs replacing?
The 2005 are different as they have a FCM under the battery that often goes out.

      Im located in Melbourne Australia.
Im not 100% sure its the ECU but think its the most likely scenario.
MY mechanic has asked me to source an replacement and he will re-flash it to the spec
What's your thoughts on this layback40

I'm battling an issue with mine giving a large fuel leak code when I use more than minimum throttle. About to fit a new CP3 (NOS).
Have tried everything else. I read that you can send your ECU to Bosch & they will check it out will cost though.
There is a member on Lost Jeep called Capitan Dean who has replaced/replaced his ECU. You should have a read of his very long thread.

Does your Cherokee have the little communication module on the left front chassis rail below the battery?

If your KJ is the same as mine, they are plug and play, engine and transmission units. No need to program unless you have a special program loaded.

              This is interesting.
All the relevant threads on lostjeep suggest that you need to have your Vin programed in for it to work. This allows the skim to talk to it.
Are you saying you have done the change?
