Summit Racing - New Driver Seat Cushion

    TJ Seat Sag Blues.
Like most (all?) TJ drivers, I've been dealing with a sagging driver's seat.
The seat on my TJ was already sagged when I bought it in 2009 and I found a decent fix with some Rugged Ridge seat covers that tied around the seat base very firmly and made a remarkable difference with the firmness of the seat.
However, when I saw that Summit Racing (in the USA) was making replacement cushions for the RIGHT HAND seat, I had to give it a go.
These replacement cushions are sensational - easy to replace but I would highly recommend a pair of hog-ring pliers (also available from Summit Racing).
With the new (higher) driving position, it really feels like a new seat.
Cushions are specific left hand side and right hand side - also 97-02 and 03-06, so TJers make sure you get the right one for your model.

Got me some new foam too. Base and back. Stitched a new panel in to replace the side that was all split and zigzag stitched the cloth near the edge where it was getting thin.

I've seen on USA forums that it sits about an inch higher than the old foam which is correct. I could feel the difference as soon as I jumped in.

Can feel the outside bolster too which I've never noticed in a long time. Click image for larger version
