You MUST be pissed that 'Jokerama' ( liked that...thanks) failed to inform you they had no access to the Pumps until December....sounds 'iffy' at best....all other Dealerships don't have an issue ???......perhaps there is a 'quota' in place and they have reached theirs ????....doesn't change the fact they failed to contact or inform you...poor service right there

Maybe they realize that they make more money out of ripping off people for services than doing recalls & Christmas is just around the corner!

Being "pissed" is an understatement! What really stuck in my neck is that they did not understand that they had done anything wrong. As far as they understood, it was perfectly okay for me to have software updates done on a separate visit to the HPFP recall - completely missing the point that the updates were a "while you have the vehicle" thing. The word "sorry" was not used in the conversation. The dude wanted to argue that it was okay not to tell me because I asked for updates.

I messaged Jeep Australia using their online chat. The confirmed no stock of the pumps. They could not give me an ETA but expected before December.

So, the others who are expecting to get the recall done soon - I suggest you ring your dealer and confirm they have the parts in hand.

Talk about being Mystic, a couple of weeks ago I booked in with Armstrong Jeep at Toowoomba the date is next week and since I have no trust in businesses to carry out things professionally I noted down on the Calendar to ring Armstrongs today, BEFORE I headed off to daughters place on the Downs to make sure they had the parts for the job, untrusting soul I am, if I had to do a 600km round trip for nothing it would hit the fan Fair Dinkum be a horoscope reading for sure ............................... Deep down I sort of know ................. as they say watch this space as there will be an update by lunch time.....................

Just had mine completed by Cricks at Noosa. No issues with the replacement, no difference noticeable.
they did state they had over 35 booked in, and had the HPFP on bulk order for over 5 weeks, and none had arrived.
They phone me the morning of the service, to advise no hpfp was available, i was already 100kms into my travels however...but to give them credit they had 1 x spare unit which they installed on my vehicle due to travel time.

They had some statutory warranty work as well to perform..
              1. Low engine oil had come up a few times on cold mornings...no other dash errors, theybhad a look and advised the right bank of glow plugs was unplugged, which they rectified (unsure how glow plugs would cause a low oil light, and kot cause any other error light however...sounds a little hard to swallow)
              2. slight hard shifting when cold..they reset ecu on transmission.
              3. Rattle knocking noise from front end over rough bitumen (bruce highway lol). They couldnt replocate, and stated sound was from rear where the tow shackles rattled...so I toock it to Maryborough Pedders..needs new strut mounts, amd front struts are down to 43 /45 percent respectively...I will pjsh to get that all rectified under dealer statutory warranty now

Good news, Pedders found no other issues, apart from brake fluid needing a change, and front brakes needing a replacement in some time (getting low...not an issue, next 15000kms style ...)

Overall pretty happy with the old girl...get struts and mounts replaced, full service shortly...and looks like a keeper...then i can work on tune, and a few other tricks...

For a stealership Cricks Noosa seem pretty good (pathetic vs a real mechanics obviously...but comparing stealerships to others..seems above bar)
oh I also had a free loan car for the day whilst there (Kia Niro EV...interesting..but slow, noisier than my jeep, and nowhere near as comfortable...)

Call from Armstrongs, Parts are on the shelf waiting for me to arrive on WED....................................... bluddy good news............

JeanLuke I have never heard much good about that place but the mob at Redcliff, bought a jeep from them and they seemed okay, Noosa and Bundy mob seem to have good reports, I chose Toowoomba as old stomping grounds and I have somewhere to stay, besides no city traffic to contend with ........... 300km drive so things best go smoothly or I will fire up........... the place is in town not stuck in some industrial area so walk to shops is easy.

Interesting, considering I made my booking about 5 weeks ago to get it done this week while I am between jobs. Obviously one dealer orders well in advance while the other orders just in time (read as "just too late").

It is definitely a issue from Dealership to Dealership....some have them in stock and others don't
