In this case mate a new part is soooo cheap and easy to remove/replace that I'm going with a new part....if it had have been over a hundred I would have pulled it out and disassembled...I know it's only the switch as the window operates fine from driver's master and the button itself sticks out of the trim like a broken toe...for under $30 with p&h I'll 'splurge'...lol.
Will definitely keep the old and pull it apart to 'see how it works' and if repairable have spare in case 'the Toyota' passenger sits there again...which is regularly as I'm the designated driver and my bus is the 'chosen one' when travelling in one car.
The Prado is a 'nice' car but when it's compared in 'real life' use it's not a shadow on our buses....would imagine it's a 'better' 4WD because of the clearance but I/we don't do any 'serious' 4WDing. When towing (power), on open Highway (again power...plus top end overtaking speed), in the big smoke (turning circle/manouvreabilty) our buses leave the Prado for dead.....

I had the possible grand son in law in the Jeeperific the other day for a run, he's a Playdoher, he was rather surprised at my Jeep and when some old fossil was doing 75kph in the 100 zone and I launched to pass it, he had a big grin across the dial and when we pulled back into the lane he said his Prado would still be winding up, my turn for the big grin then ....

Bit of a surprise....$55 2nd hand....told him about the less than $20 fleabay units....quote..."you get what you pay for and in general they last around 6mths"....I mentioned the supplier...alliexpress.... quote...."yep...those are the one's'...there are multiple suppliers on fleabay alone....didn't check Amazon or related sites....'apparently' the cheaper options aren't worth what's being asked ???

Well the things are Made in China so maybe only cheap because less brand tax..................... the panel the key lock lives in was $140 so I fixed mine ...... I have found 2nd hand prices seem to be just a tad less than new in some cases but the " I want it NOW, " effect can sometimes dull my sense of cost.........

            Outcome:
$77 delivered via Express Post....$20 freight/shipping inclusive....2 business days ex Melbourne.
Took less than 3 minutes to remove old and install new (2nd hand) unit....plug and play...no reset required.
            Jobs done.

ps: Can hear a li'l piece of plastic 'rattling' around when the old unit is 'moved'.....would 'assume' that it's the 'broken' bit.... new (2nd hand) didn't 'rattle'..... saw the torque heads Jeeper6 spoke of....I have a few 'Jewellers' Tool sets and Injection Tool kits stashed 'somewhere'.... will have a search and see what turns up

I found 5min araldite the only stuff that welded the plastic enough to hold so might be just Bin Fodder if space is tight................... I open my windows that often I have to read the manual to find the switch............lol,lol,lol.....
