    Just a little heads up

Owned our WK2 since new in Dec 2015. Had an interesting one the other day where the missus said her wiper jets weren't working. I checked them out and they appeared blocked. Thought I would put a bit more water in as maybe low on water, opened bonnet and noticed engine above fuel pump was wet. Left bonnet up and went for a squirt and water was peeing out of the LHS elbow at bottom of jet

Went to pull the hose off and it just snapped. Hose and little green elbow on jet had gone brittle. Obviously caused by heat over time and maybe having my engine cover off since new has made it worse. Got a quote from a Jeep parts place for wiper hose kit and new jet. $75. Got on Amazon and got 2 generic jets and a hose kit for about $30 but 4 jets actually arrived in parcel. 5 minute install and all back to normal. Jets have quite a good spray pattern too.

So just a heads up to check the hose for brittleness on your servicing intervals maybe or if jets start to appear blocked, check this. Mainly the driver side and my passenger one was fine.

Yes, a very common issue that basically everyone seems to fall afoul of eventually.

I replaced one of my jets with an ebay job (along with the piece of hose running between the two nozzles - a bit of bunnings vacuum hose and some sprinkler fittings) and I really wasn't impressed. Not only was it a garbage spray pattern (two 'streams' as opposed to the fan-type OEM), but the first one failed within 2 months and the second one within 6 (the ebay jets came in a two pack) - although, I managed to superglue the bottom back on the second time, so it has been serviceable enough for 12mo or so.

I finally bit the bullet and got a relative who works for a dealer group who have Jeep and RAM (same jets are used) under their umbrella to pick up an OEM jet - unfortunately no staff discount to my knowledge, so it was $41... just for a single jet, no hoses.

Yet to chuck it in, but I'm looking forward to a good spray pattern again - and, if the original part life is to go by, it should last me until I get rid of the Jeep in a few years time.

Might be worth posting a link to the Amazon one you picked up Dingo if the spray pattern is good.

my first repair the hose lasted awhile then melted again so I replaced with vacuum hose and its all tucked inside the bonnet insulation, I also break half the nipple off the jet but managed to stick the hose on glue and a zip tie.............................. I was going to make a shield for it but behind the insulation matting seems to work well.

      Dorman 58112 $21aud at Rockauto, Mopar 55372143AB $54.87aud now thats BS ...............
also a Mitsubishi Galant 09-12 is the same part .. https://halfpriceparts.com.au/produc...L7znNT0kmm07S2
