Default EBC Ultimax or Bendix 4x4 pads?

Hey guys I normally run Bendix but see ebay has the same price on EBC Ultimax pads. Wanting to see if people reckon EBC over Bendix?

Regards A

Nope, no EBC experience here. Bendix in past, now Raybestos Professional grade from overseas installed today to give those a try. Change of flavour to broaden the experience.
Just buy the EBC ones if you're curious, you can always swap 'em out again if they really disappoint.

bendix were the worst pad I ever got to expreinace on any of the race cars I built and a handful of street cars.
EBC are a very good pad if matched to their needs (not running ebc greens on a 2000kg family car) how ever the poor exchange rate made them very costly here.

I have not tried the new lighter duty range of ebc pads. What is the part number? I will see what I can get them for you if you like

Why would I want to buy pads just so I can see if they are any good?????? Unfortunately I am not made of money . I also only have one vehicle so if I have to take the Jeep off the road it costs me money every day it is off the road. I live 100km from the nearest parts shop so need to get it right the first time. ..I also have to buy my parts online as I can not get to a parts shop during opening hours. Given that I have to wait 7-10 days to get the parts delivered and can only get my mail on a Friday I really don't want to change the pads and machine the rotors. Then in three weeks do the whole thing again. And potentially have the Jeep off the road while I wait for parts.

Regards A

I have seen them on ebay and they are not EBC green.

Sounds like they are a cheap version of EBC. I have had no probs with the Bendix 4x4 pads. Can't speak for race cars but I know ebc black work well on my road race track bike, EBC blacks handle the heat unlike some others.

I run EBC - supreme green on the Jeep, and red on the wifes Mercedes CLK.

I will be buying the same again, an excellent pad that reduced breaking distance significantly
