Default WCM and column lock module troubles

Hi all,

I have a possible problem with WCM or steering lock module. I have tried the steering lock emulator with no luck so I am assuming it must be the WCM playing up.
I have the lights on dash but no crank, bypass relay and engine cranks but does not start.
I am getting a stored code B2254 Column Lock Module Internal.
My question is this a dealership repair only or can I program a secondhand WCM to my VIN with the correct program like jscan or appcar or can I purchase a new WCM (if available) and program myself.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

DiagFCA has a section on programming a new WCM. Not done it though but saw it there.

You can see it mentioned under supported modules.

Hi.
Not a cheap option but a company in Texas offers a win module and two fobik keys matched to your vin number.

Not sure if it is of interest to you.

Thanks, guys for the info. Looks like I am in for a tow to the nearest dealership.
Had a look around on the internet but no luck with WCM new or secondhand and I am assuming it may be the same at a dealership.

Might pay to check this wrecking yard and see if they have earlier as well.

Also put the part number in a search via US eBay etc. or even just using google, as I find much of my stuff that way.

Could anyone confirm if the 2006 commander column lock and ignition would be the same as the 2007 grand Cherokee.
Cheers
