I agree with Johnv,
21,500 ks towing nearly 3t off road van Bris to darwin via channel country in western Qld then to Broome via the Gibb River Road down WA coast, accross the Nullabor to Pt Lincoln, Adelaide and then back to Brisbane via Broken Hill. Averaged 16.9l/100km for whole trip. Not even a flat tyre. Replaced rear brake pads only, a front diff gasket, front sway bar rubbers and a new set of OME shocks as the Bilstiens were just starting to leak when got back.
Get that mileage out of your LC or Poo-trol.
Vehicle has now done 93ks and has also been up to the Cape and the Gulf Co.
The WH diesel will do me.

Cheers

wk grand cherokee 2011 rear shocks rattle

Just new to this forum. Have recently purchased a diesel wk grand cherokee and from the moment i drove out of the dealership the rear shocks rattled.Had them replaced at the one month check up and these ones are just as bad.Have complained to jeep australia but at this point i am still waiting. Is anybody else having a problem? My vehicle does not have the air suspension.

Welcome.

What year is your WH?? How many km's on it??

Or is it a brand new WK2? Codes are a bit confusing. WH is the previous model (export model). WK is also the previous model, but that is what it was called in the US.

WK2 is what both the US and Aust calls the latest model.

On my previous Grand, the WJ, I had that issue. It was when I replaced the shocks, so I obviously thought it was the shocks. It turned out being a bush in the swaybar links - just a co-incidence.

Now i am confused. It's the new shape with the latest 3.0lt diesel.I picked it up in nov 2011,just of the boat.It has the two tow hooks at the front if that helps. The dealer has tried everything but now agrees with me that it is a fault with the rear shocks(bilsteins i think).I will check the model when i get it back(at the dealer again)for minor stuff.I must admit i am dissapointed as it is my first jeep after many years(nearly 20) with japanese 4wds

WH petrol 5.7ltr

Just turned 125k on the 5.7 Grandy. Spent $150 this last year on parts (front diff mount bushes). Dealer installed the "Service 4WD system" when banging about underneath. I took it back and they took 1/2 a day to find the sensor they knocked up, at their cost.
Haven't had any trouble with it. Goes like a scolded cat. I whipped a Porsche Chayenne at the lights last week, often flog XR8 falcoons, too easy. Its a long way from the V8 Landy I had last, there was something to replace every damn week on it. Lovin the Jeep. :)

2014 Hi again, now got 300,000km on it. Air con just 'went warm', otherwise no probs. 4WD system never came tack to haunt me. Cracked a radiator (my fault) and just replaced a water pump, at this age - not bad. Radiator $250, water pump and thermo, pulleys etc a couple of hundred. Still haven't done plugs. Goes like hell. Love it.

It's a WK2. I hope that they fix it for you. I'd be pissed if I bought a brand newie and it had problems.

Could some one help me?
I am awaiting the arrival of a WK2 diesel grand cherokee.
I would like to know if a transmission cooler is or should be installed as I will be towing a 2520Kg caravan.
Also does any one have the email address of Jeep Australia.
Thanks:p
