Stock it is a selectable 4WD just like Early Landcruisers, Patrols and others. Although it does have the ability to be driven like an AWD which makes it better but I’m not telling you anything there.

245/75-17 at 799mm diameter.
256/75-17 at 814mm.
255/70-18 at 814mm.
Then 295/70-17 measure 845mm.

Unfortunately my 2012 JKUR has done the same thing since new. I think they all seem to do it. At a guess I would say insufficient friction breaking in the mechanism.

The flange is the part of the axle that the wheel bolts to. When this bends it causes the rotor and wheel to move side to side as they rotate. You wi probably easiest see this as the caliper moving.
