Default Oil leak from 2.5

So i have a slight oil leak from the passenger side of my 99 XJ and was hoping someone could shed some light on it.

It appears to be coming from what i think might be a catch can or some type of filter ?? It has a hose connected to top of the canister (filter ??) that connects to the rear of valve cover. Another hose at the bottom of the canister travels down into the bottom of the block. possibly into the oil sump.

The leak is only small and not too much to worry about however i wouldn't mind fixing it if possible could be a problem if i cross water

Sounds like your catch can. I pulled mine out to inspect/clean it recently. It's pretty easy to do and the lid pops off with a screwdriver etc.

Check for split hoses while you are at it. On my car the hose from the valve cover to the can has small split and it leaks a bit.
