What an absolute rip off. You can buy them ex USA or UK for about $15 ea or less and these are either Bosch or similar high quality GP's

You have me confused I thought #6 GP was the L/H rear. (L/H means your looking forwards too.) Anyway it's the rear L/H plugs that's covered with wires and plastic casings and metal brackets. I'll take a photo, may my 06 model has a different set of crap covering it?

I am trying to upload the drawing that I have of the engine, will try at work and see if I can get it done into suitable format and post it here. But it shows looking from the front of car back to the firewall and numbers the plugs as I have mentioned. I can also upload photo of my engine and we can see where the differences may be but maybe we are just confusing ourselves Willing to help anytime if you want....... on Northside of Brisbane
By the way the glowplugs that i purchased are made by Borgwarner Beru ( www.beru.com) they are made in Germany

hi Multihull, we are talking about the same glow plug, only difference is which way you are looking, front of car to firewall (ME) or looking frontwards (YOU)
And as GoÁrd has mentioned you can get down behind the wiring etc with a long socket it just looks impossible. I just found it easier to take the engine cover support bracket off (off the rear wall) and it seemed to give me a bit more room, maybe that is just my idea and doesn't need to be taken off but it is only one bolt..
