6 - 08 build = 09 JK ????

The build plate says 6 - 08 yet was sold as a 09 model. Can this be right?

assembled June 2008, probably first registered 2009. thats how they usually work out the MY** isnt it?

06/08 build is different to Model year.

You may have an MY09 JK which was built on 06/2008.

In australia a car is considered to be as old as its build date, regardless of its compliance date or first date of registration.

To confuse you even further. My parents had a 2004 Patrol which was an MY03 (model year 2003). Built May 04, complianced July 04 and first registered August 04. It was a 2004 when it was sold.
