Default electric ariel

Just installed new stereo,dvd.tv,gps 7" screen unit in my 99 jeep cherokee
The problem I have is the electric ariel will not work, connected the ariel wire from the unit ( blue ) to the jeeps green/red ariel wire but no power is comming though the wire. when acc/or starting, just woundered if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix

Try disconnecting the blue wire from the head unit and then applying power to the Jeeps aerial wire and ensure that the aerial actually works correctly then if it does with the blue wire still disconnected check to see if there is infact any power coming from the blue wire.....

Bugger, i had replied to this but cant find the reply now.

The Antenea actually works when it's grounded and the trigger from the head unit is negative. Test it by earthing the antenea wire on the Jeep end and if it works look for the trigger wire and make sure you havn't conused it with the Positive Remote wire.

Just leave it not working and have it up manually. It shit me to tears making all that racket everytime you turn the ignition on.

After removing that heinous 'key in the ignition' buzzer and the dreaded 'foot on the clutch to start' mechanism i'm starting to enjoy the first minute of climbin in the xj.

That is odd as mine is triggered by a +12v connection from my aftermarket head unit and works perfectly....

Today finaly had time to fix the ariel. connected another wire from the accessories to the ariel wire. works on acc and when I start the beast up
