Default OME Lift Bracket fix

ARB QLD state office emailed me today regarding my issues with the rear trackbar/panhard bracket smashing into my left shock.

They have offered to replace the shock and change the track bar bracket to a updated version.

Not sure what this new bracket will look like and don't know about putting a half shagged 26000km shock with brand new one. I think they will fix it up next week without having booked a install time yet.

At least ARB/OME recognise this is a problem and have got a fix for it (lets wait and see ).

My adjustable rear panhard is getting here this week as well but will wait until they install the new bracket before putting in on.

Hi rossj,

I was interested in your problem with the trackbar bracket. Is your JK long or short W/base?. During my last enquiry with ARB re a lift for my JK Rubi I was told brackets are not supplied for short w/base JK lifts due to the very problem you have experienced.

Incidentally brackets of this type are not required for normal mounting of adjustable trackbars. Have ARB indicated something to the contrary?.

I have a unlimited and bracket came with the kit as recommended by OME/ARB. As far as I am aware OME does not supply adjustable trackbars. If I knew what I know now I would never have installed the bracket and just went with a adjustable rear trackbar, and then installed a AEV axle mounted trackbar bracket as funds became availiable. Thinking about it I probably would have went with another lift option......
