There was a guy here in Brisbane (Redcliffe actually) who put a 5.0lt Mustang engine into a Teal coloured TJ some years back (early 2000 to 2003ish if I recall corrently). He had nothing but dramas trying to get the injected v8 to "Talk" to the Jeep computers / dash ect.

Have you inquired with Burnsville offroad? Hammond's 4WD center (known as Hammod Jeep) have done 3 JK v8 Hemi Conversions now and plenty of old school V8 swaps but never a TJ for some reason?

your 4l has 130kw is 55 kw (at red line) and only 412 Nm at 3500Rpm is it reallly worth it... just my thought but only a 250 kw+ V8 would only start to make a little sense to me.

you think wrong..lol...i was getting around 250klm/tank out of my tj with the 5.0L, that was on 37's with 4.88 ratios....

thats ok economy i know people that get 250 a tank on 35s with the stock engine , mine currently does 300k a tank on 35s
