Jesus Christ, I didnt expect a reaction like this
In my defence, The racial comment wasnt aimed at any specific race, neither was it to say that Australians dont commit alot of the crime hear, it was mearly a stab at the QLD Police for pouring so much money and time into revenue raising on our roads and still letting these horendous crimes happen.
I apoligize if it offended anyone, it certenly wasnt ment to or wasnt ment to cause a stir.
As far as the defect goes, it has all been cleared yet again, as it turnes out the lights are illegal on the windshield and the beam cannot be any higher than the standard head light beam, which i took on the chin and admitted i was wrong, although i didnt no it at the time. Also, it turns out that any additional light must be mounted at least 600mm apart from center to center.... There goes all of the big manfactures bull bar light mounts!!
And my attitude?
What i wrote in my first post i.e. 'What are you going to do about it'.... Was an exageration, it was an agreement between the cop and myself that it was of a legal lift height.
Although, I am a huge believer in the statement 'You must give respect to get respect', and even though he was a Police Officer, when he first pulled me over he showed me absolutly no recpect what so ever, so I dont see it as his right to demand my respect, some may see this as an 'attitude problem', but I have always had to work for peoples respect, and I realise its not something that is just given, it is something that must be earnt. Just because some power tripping ego rider has a blue shirt on and a gun in his belt, doesnt mean he is better than me (or anyone in the public for that matter), he just thinks he is and that means everyone must bowe to him.......
I have never said that running 37's is a responsable thing to do on road, in fact i no it isnt, I no they are extremely attention grabbibg, and as Wayne said, probably not the best image with a 20 year old bloke behind the wheel of a big black Jeep that looks like im out to cause mischief because of my age. I dont think i deserved the 'I think its dumb and rediculas' comments, but thats how it goes, and everyone is entitled to there own opinion.
I have upgraded brakes, axles, and steering, the only other thing i can really do to make it safer is change diffs... Which will happen when they go bang.
If anyone else has something to say, or an opinion to give, please PM me and I will be more than happy to see your point of view on anything I have posted.
