Default Trailer wiring JK unlimited

Gday just wondering if someone can help me out?I have just installed a trailer hitch and am at the wiring stage,it seems that each side runs up each side of the vehicle and no sign of a plug as ive read about.does this mean my only option is to run wiring from the hitch to each side? I was looking to run it up through the grommet and cut into the loom in the back corners under the loom.
Cheers in advance for any advice

I did mine on the right hand side. Take the light out, connect brake, position, ground, and right side indicator there. Then on the left hand side, connect only one cable to the left hand indicator.

Inside the corner rear of the car, where the light is fixed to, you can feed the cable through a rubber type of cover which is loose and just sitting there t the bottom (you'll see wht I mean), on both sides.

I soldered all of my connections, to avoid future problems.

Quite easy really, just follow the wires to each light globe. You'll see that there is a common cable to each light, that would be the negative. Then the other being positive, or just use a multi meter

you can buy a wiring loom off ebay in the US for about $30 bucks.
it is plug and play (with a little modification for australian lights.)

you go in via your left tail light

AFAIK The wiring loom that plugs in doesn't pickup both indicators, the best place to splice into the loom (well IMHO) is just to the left of the passenger front seat as you have access to stop/tail/turn left/turn right

I also chose this as I wanted to pickup a brake signal to connect up to the tekonsha p3 (freakin awesome) brake controller.

Nor does the bloody 7 pin plug-in US wiring loom (GRRRRRR) from quadratec AND it's designed to be run UNDER the vehicle - ahh no thanks.

If you run (7 core) trailer wire inside the vehicle, under sill covers and carpet in the back, then exit via the passenger side rubber gromett near the indicator, you can keep all wire splices inside the vehicle.

That's my prefference (but not if your on a time budget)
