Yes that's correct. From the cat forward it's all stock, i have no extractors or anything of the like. The tip is a 2.5" turned down stainless and it's the stock length. The tip is not tapered or flared.
I was worried that the 2.5" cat back would change power/torque RPM's and although it definately has, it's a lot better throughout the RPM range. I've had to re-learn how the engine uses power for fuel use because now i can easily take off, and change through the gears up to 100klm/hr and never go over 2000-2200rpm whereas with the stock system the engine would be under too much load at such lower revs. Now, if i rev it 2500-3000rpm like i used to i use more fuel, but it's very addictive to rev it up because now the engine sounds like it loves it. With the stock pipes, it sounded like it was in pain LOL
so i have to make a conscious effort to keep revs down to keep my fuel use under 15L/100klm otherwise i get carried away by how much the engine now loves it in higher revs.
Also, at higher revs (3000rpm+) the engine doesn't sound like it's struggling and choking. Compared to the stock system it now freely and powerfully revs all the way to redline without a hint of power loss or that 'asthmatic' feeling the TJ engine gives at high rpm with stock pipes. Just listen to the video on the previous page to hear how it revs up over 3000rpm nicely
It seems to have more power off idle too but i havn't had much of a chance to do any low range stuff lately.
It's no V8 but it's more enjoyable to drive than before. I''ve only done about 1500klm since it was installed but it's quietened down a bit and there is more power than when it was first fitted so the exhaust is settling in well
cheers
