Yeah ... I thought one of those behind the "vented" bull bar would be good.
Small stones and stuff would just bounce off ... instead of flattening / holing the normal style cooler fins.
All the ones I checked out were hollow inside tho ... so the thing filled with oil which would cool against the walls ... but the cental flow would just pass straight thru with minimal cooling benefit.
Having the fins extended into the inside of the tube should make quite a bit of difference by comparison.
Any bends in the interior fins to tumble the oil around a bit ???
Some temps when you get your gauge in would be good.
