Cool stuff I currently have 50mm spacers with RS9000 " lift shocks, so this sounds like a great idea and they seem reasonably priced too. My 2" spacer kit came with 2" extentions on the bumpstops, not sure if these are actually needed to save my guards from the 285's. They may be just restricting travel.

I gather they are firmer because they are thicker wire coils too I guess. I like the soft floppy feel of the standard coils myself, no point having a 4inch lift that doesn't travel till you load the car up with weight. Are the 2 door lifted springs the same wire diameter, and same height? Deisel front springs different to petrols?
Because all this depends on what weight balance you have front & back too.

You may find the bumpstops also prevent the shocks from bottoming out, the rs9000s you have are likely to be about 2" longer than stock when compressed.

Cheers,
B.

Hmm good point so I wondr what stops shocks bottoming out on a normal 2" lift as most seem to not have extended bumpstops, and I think a spring lift could compress upwards a lot further than a spacer lift too.

My tough dogs have over 60mm more travel than stock ones and do not bottom out under full compression at the front. I only have bumpstop spacers in the back. The rancho's would be simalar as they make tough dogs. Bumpstop extensions would be needed for sure with a tyre that is any taller as the stock tyres go very close to fouling under the flares. The suspension setup in the jk is very well thought out and from what i can see you would need a pretty long shock for it to bottom out maybe a 3.5" would.

So I wonder how many people are getting away with 33" tyres or larger wihout bump stop extensions, I'm guessing a lot, what's the guard scrubbing like if it occurs, justt some noise andmaybe chunks of rubber or full "rip your guard off" stuff?
I have seen people on Jeep forums who have ripped off guards with bigger tyres fitted, what size does tis become a possibility?

How are people finding the mopar 2inch lift 6 months on??? Mine seems to have settled a fair bit. I reckon 1 inch lift from standard if im lucky however I have front and rear bars as well as rock sliders. Thinking that a 2 inch coil spacer kit might supplement nicely to bring the ride height back.

Default Rancho shocks

My Rancho's which are 60mm longer than stock definately bottom out at full flex when disconected. I have installed 50mm bump stops and they miss by about 10mm. I never tried it, but the statement above would tell you that the originals would bottom out with disconnects?
