Default Dan's Honcho TJ creation

OK, I had to start a new thread as I can't post pretty pictures in the other action pic thread as the car isn't yet running. So far we have a POS HPI TJ shell (I forgot how crap HPI bodies are, can't believe this is sold to be mounted on a 5kg+ nitro MT!). I admit I did buy the TJ shell as a basher as I hope to find a New Bright or Grand shell at some stage to go scale crazy on. As you can see I really didn't like the back end of the HPI shell so hacked it up then a bit more. It's a pretty shocking fit I know and I have the sides just in front of the rear tyres cable tied in as they were bulging so much from the rear cage.

The build will include Proline shocks (already mounted, smoooth!), Hitec HS-7955TG servo, Nomadio Rx, Novak 45t (currently fitted), Integy 35t (in case I really think I need more speed) and I have a couple of options for ESC; I have a basic yet waterproof LRP unit and a Novak GTB, will probably go the latter with some waterproofing as I'd rather have drag brake. I'll be using LiPos and have heaps of 7.4 packs ranging from 2400 - 6000mAh. I'll probably put some more lead in the front wheels as the whole rear cage/spare tyre is pretty hefty. I've read about folks having mounting issues with servos i.e. hitting the chassis cross braces; mine hits the chassis rail on one side at flex so the Dremel will come out for more playtime before the car gets dirty.

Anyway time for some very clean toy car pics...

Looks good, espically how you have fitted it around the honcho roll cage. Paint job looks nice and clean also.
