Default Wh snorkel has finally arrived

Good news for all you patient WH diesel owners,
I picked up my Jeep this afternoon with its brand new snorkel.
First impression driving from Dromana to Geelong was how much air was being sucked into the snorkel, you can really hear it work.
It also seemed to use a bit less fuel in peak hour traffic going through melbourne but no difference at 100ks.
It also looks quite good I thought but I can't seem to be able to attach pics to message, computers aren't my strong point I'm afraid.
Will try again tomorrow.
Cheers,Dick.

Default great news

Nice...
I received the email heads up from Michael today.
Whilst I dont have an issue with the price, I too am curious as to the costs of the box after discount!!!
Also curios to know if there is any further compromise on visibility through the screen??
Are the fitting instructions easy to follow, could a reasonable DIYer do the job??

On a side not I just relocated to the Pilbara (Karratha) and glad to see a could of Grands knocking about.
Well done Airflow, I'll be getting one real soon, cheers.
Thanks also to those members that kept the interest going, without it I dont think this would have happened.

Also curious about whether the snorkel makes the current A-pillar blind-spot any worse. But regardless, I want one asap.

No compromise on visibilty (CRD) in my opinion, pillar is large enough to hide it.

Hi Guys,

Spoke to Michael yesterday and it looks like the WH Diesel snorkel willl fit the WH Petrol as well. Same process required with updating the airbox as well. He indicated the greater airflow in the snorkal would cover the heavy breating of the petrol as well.

Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd give a quick update, I'm 85% the way through installing the WH Snorkel on my 09 CRD. As mine is a pre production kit (well sort of) there are no instructions, but all I can say is they're a damn site nicer and easier to install than a bloody KJ snorkel in saying that, given the way you have to hole saw through an angled panel I wouldnt exactly be attempting this unless (or any snorkel for that matter) you had metal working and hole sawing experience, you an literally break your wrist if it bites - not to mention ******** the panel......

I'll have some photos to post after JAD this Sunday
