yep i also use castrol edge 5w 30

Yep, Edge 5W30 for me too; I haven't been able to find 5W20 off the shelf, & 30's better for our hot climate anyway I 'd say.

My dealer claims they use 5W20, but when the service manager answered my enquiry he had the same guilty look on his face a bloke's who's been married 30 years has when answering no to the question of whether he's ever cheated on his missus...

didn't realise until I read the service report and looked up the viscosity rating when I got home. You would think being the dealership and all they would keep within the the viscosity rating.

mate they buy on price and they buy in bulk to get a discount. it is a quality oil,

that magnatec, no problems.

and a heavier weight oil is better in our warmer climate. the dealers know this. it's why they use it.
