I washed mine with a good coating of dust and then some light drizzle to set it this weekend and it looks great. It's a jeep it doesn't deserve detergent, detergent is not worthy in fact

I've had my Wrangler for just under 3 months and I've probably washed it more times than my three previous 4WDs combined

I go to one of the local car washes and $4 of high pressure rinse is usually more than enough to get it sparkling again. If it's got a decent coating, the soap spray or the soap brush does the job.

We've still got water restrictions but you can now wash cars at home with a high pressure hose. However, I'm used to the car wash centres and you can usually find one on the outskirts of the city now

After a few trips to the mountains with some horrible sticks like sh!t to a blanket mud, I have discovered the Karcher is the best thing to clean the plastics of the bumpers and mudguards, and goes a long way to removign the stains from the soft top as well.

The body is easy, just car wash a sponge and a hose, then chammois dry.

However, the first month it prob got washed 4 times (cause the missus got the dirts with driving it to work dirty), in the 4 months since its been hit with the karcher every time it got muddy - thats about it!

I do however run a damp cloth over the door seals as this stops the rattling typos sound of the rubber against the body.

Thumbs up

i just run mine through the auto wash after a 4wd trip and if it were on the beach i stick a hose in the chassis (drilled 2 holes in the bottom before the rear control arms to let the sand out) otherwise is just gets pushed round and doesnt really come out.

could probably use a good polish by now lol
