Default JK water spout when you open the door

Have been looking and I am sure I have ssen something on this before but for the life of me cant find anything now.

When raining, you open the door (happens to be a 2 door with the Sunrider Softop installed) and the water seems to spout about 3 inches from the front and just pours in about level with the internal door handles wetting both me and pouring straight onto the floor.

Looking at the design I cant see how it wouldnt do it on others as well, except for parking nose up. So before I go and try to think up a solution I thought I should ask if anyone else has already done so!

Got the same problem on my 4 door. Interesting to see if there is a fix.

Hmm... Looking at it more, the lip on the platic door frames sits flat, and there is a peice of foam squashing out from the header of the soft top against the frame and the water seems to run down the top of the door frame then hits the rubber and drips over the edge.

Looks like it needs a small peice of plastic angle (say 5mm x 5mm) running the length of the plastic door frame to direct the water further forward. Might have a play and see what I can come up with.

My wife rides a vulcan 900 when its dry and uses the jk when its raining. She recons she gets more water opening the door than on the bike.
Would be good to work something out.
Save the dammage to my ear drums anyway
cheers..... Shane

Use the hardtop, it has a gutter.

If you allow water to pool up on the window frames it will come inside. They are 2 pieces and stuck together with staple type things. Would not modify a gutter onto the frame!
