Same same really, just different measuring stick - 12.5in = 317.5mm,

315/70 r17 = 34.4 in

Bit hard to tell in that pic 1Aussie, but does the tread stick out past the guards?

Nice pic by the way

What ratios you running?
Does your tyres stick out on the sides much? Did you get new flares?

yes they are aftermarket flares. with factory flares they will definately stick out past the guards.
The flat fender Xenons from memory give you an extra 1.7" extra coverage each side so mine do not stick out past the flares.
As an added benefit going from factory to flat fenders gives you about 100mm of extra clerance from tyre to guard

It is illegal here too, but in a place like this the cops turn a blind eye most of the time, the only trouble I have is at every bi-yearly rego time I have to get a safety inspection.(roadworthy) Its yearly rego bit the safety isn't required every year. I have been told to put the standard wheels back on & also to put mud flaps on. The only time the cops will do anything is if they pull you over for speeding & decide to say something about it then & usually it's a warning. Mind you I have never been pulled over apart from this one night I was looking at xmas lights on houses & weaved on the road a bit, a cop thought I was drunk so he pulled me over & asked me,when I said no he complimented my Jeep & let me go guess I was lucky

What are the xenon flares worth? Installation is straight forward?
