check this link http://www.archibase.net/download/6052.html
this is for a model part for ArchiCAD
I know you said you are using autoCAD but this can be opened in archCAD and saved out as .dwgs and imported into autoCAD.
I didn’t look that hard for the library part and am sure you could find more if you spent a few hours looking in other formats.

Doesnt look like a very safe site to me and I think that is from google sketchup warehouse just exported. The sketchup ones are not drawn properly and are not in blocks like a proper drawing and makes it extremely hard to work with. Exporting cads often ends up with missing pieces. Ive googled and only found dodgy looking sites you have to pay for and dodgy sketchup models.

This is what the model element generates in ArchCAD when I cut a section and two elevations. Not sure about the scale dimensions. Would have to be checked against an exiting vehicle.

If I xan get rid of all the stuff under it like wheels easy it would be perfect. Ideally a professional drawing is what I need. Everything is in blocks. Every part they make will be in it's own block so instead of deleting every line I can just delete all the blocks except the body. If you could please check if you know how what is in blocks and what isn't. Normally the whole thing will be a blcom then inside that say the diff will be a block then inside that each part will be a block.
Thanks.

I DL this, object, last night at home and don’t have access to it right now. Anyway the Object (jeep) is made up of many individual smaller objects. IE axles, wheels, windscreen wipers ect. This is so you can control the individual colours and materials. These objects can be turned on an off at your convenience.

IF you DL a student version of ArchCAD then you can do what you need to do. I think the model is specifically made for ArchCAD if not possible search for a program to view .GDL objects.

I was hoping you could export it to dxf or dwg for me. No rush though.
Thanks.

Could we ask why? im wondering if your thinking the CAD jeep will be an accurate (proportionally scaled) representation of the Jeep.

i can't imagine it would......neither would i trust it to be.

However if you just playing with animation then go nuts.
