Do not rely of Jeep Assist or the likes when heading on any major adventure as it ain't worth anything.

Get yourself something like the RAC Premium for $130 a year which is a comprehensive recovery service if you run into probs.

Jeep assist is great for the city limits etc... But not so good when your 1000's of k's from home and towing a camper or something else.
We rang Jeep assist because we were still under new car warranty (and I wasn't thinking straight because I had just ingested copious quantities of extinguisher dust ) and stupidly thought they might want to help one of their customers that had just had a fire in a JK after all it wasn’t the first time one had burnt.
We also had RAC WA top cover but was tod when we rang, (after being rejected by Jeep Assist) the that a fire is not a breakdown so it is an insurance matter. It was too late by that time to get onto the Insurance co so we accepted a tow into a camp spot in the bush and worked all night under the Jeep to assess the damage enough to talk to the insurance company the next daay into backing our decision to fix it out in the bush.

As we dont use the Jeep in the city, I agree Jeep assist is useless.

Just a split turbo pipe which Jeep fixed under warranty. It must of been a lemon mate. Ive been out in 40 degree heat pushing the shit out of it with the aircon blaring full ball and the temp didn't budge...That being said, if i had experienced your issues i woulda moved on AGES ago..

PS: just received the recall letter in the mail aswell. Ive had a look and there doesnt seem to be any rubbing though. Im running a 2.5 inch lift and 33's on road..

Yep thats us, Rodger has done lots of the fixes on our JK, way back to the first bent front axle tubes that started all the rubish we have had to deal with, with Jeep. He has little regard for Perth Jeep Dealers as well.
