That sucks.... Would love to see what the actual measurement of those tyres are. According to the written dinensions they should be 32.8 inches, but I have heard they are under 32 in most cases?

Did they actually get the tape out and measure them or just calculate them?

it is done by what is stamped on the sidewall.

this is why I think there would be a market for true to size and/or "generously sized" tyres

What yombert said. They had their book and their little calculator and said I was over by blah blah mm.

He did agree they looked sexy though.

So what did they do, did you cop a fine or a warning have to get a tow truck and come pick it up?

Sucks... sicne any other state it would not have been an issue.. we def need national laws!

If they just calculate the size (presumably from the tyrewall figures) then how about modifying the tyre stamp or tyrewall placard. I know sounds dodgy but that wouldn't be the first time. Just an aftermarket modification!
