Too right, and get rid of the cheap-as factory muffler; mine has several pin holes in the seam welds. Be sure to keep us informed ay.

Yes mate the muffler has been taken off a while back. Funny as I didn't really notice much difference at all. Now to use that space for more than just a snatch strap and shackle.

What are peoples thoughts about which deep cycle battery to use in this scenario? Alot of talk about the Optimas, as mentioned I have used the Full River in the past. I am hoping the space created would be able to have 2x 90ah at least, but then the weight that is going to be added is considerable, so may have to just go with a single battery - perhaps a 115ah Full River...? 43kgs!!!!!!

Whichever batter you put there be sure it can handle the Jeep's charge voltage, most good quality AGMs should be ok.

After 30mins of driving (crank battery charged up) my voltage is around 14.2 volts, i will be going with an Optima D31A in the back of the jeep for deep cycle (75ah) (can handle 15v of charge) and Cranking 900CCA. The Camper will house a 100ah for camp site electrics

Cranking from a pure AGM battery reduces its life considerably, once or twice a year shouldnt be too bad though.
