Haha, No worries Bob..
The aftermarket arms I'm using are the Als A-arms, (JeepinbyAl) Gen 4.5.
Go to bed... Thanks for your time.

Bob, Welcome and thankyou so much for your time.
This is the discussion I hoped to trigger, IMO the board needed to get a bit more of a real engineering bent.....instead of the oft poorly informed supposition and opinion.
I have more to say, but later.
The primary goal, for now, is thanks and welcome.
Cheers

kj 04 extreme sport in Australia
I have bought a sport model from a used dealership. It had 2 inch lift, ARB bull bar. I had taken it to the Mundairing power lines track at the back of the Perth hills in W.A , and in went really well. Almost got stuck in the water, the depth was up to bonnet, but no water got inside air intake.Just installed and Airflow snorkel to the 3.7l v6 engine, recommend time to install was 8 to 10 hours, but TJM took 5 to 6 hours. Installed 9500lbs TJM OX winch with plasma rope, winch is 1.5 times stronger than cable and 23 kg lighter o/all. Fitted ARB air locker to rear diff, no room for mini air compressor under bonnet, so was installed inside at the rear, they pulled plastic liner below right hand window there is a gap and enough room there, and refitted panel, you can't see it or notice it unless it's running switches next to lighter at the front.Fitted new tyres, Cooper ST/MAXX on original rims, 245/75/16 rated 50% sand road, 50% gravel mud. Total on extras $5000.00 AU Very capable 4x4. Can't put higher lift or the cops will pull you over

Yes its amazing how much they'll take before they falter. I do have to get something done about the open front diff and improve the rear. I have it going in to have the front main seal, a trans cooler and EBC slotted and drilled brakes on Monday. Beside the seal the rest is to improve it, not to fix it. I do need some new rear bushes but the front (all original) passed inspection today. I was suprised I was expecting to have to replace all bushes.

wow... is that $5000 fitted for the Airflow snorkel, 9500lbs TJM OX winch with plasma rope, ARB air locker to rear diff mini compressor installed inside at the rear, plastic liner below right hand window and Cooper ST/MAXX on original rims, 245/75/16.
This is a similar package I'm looking into but with an ARB or TJM bull bar to mount the winch.
I'm debating about buying a 2005 with the above already fitted out for $20000 or a stock 2005 (Both 3.7l and similar km's ) for $12000 and getting the work done locally. For $5000 I would be better getting the stock model and having the above items fitted for $5000 total $17000 is better deal.
