I'm not sure about this as it's not really suited to the Events section - but it's not really General Jeep Chat - but it is something that no doubt some of the more "extreme" members of the Jeep community will be very interested in.
The KOTR2011 event has been won and run - and it looks like the RockRacing scene is growing at a great rate of knots -
The event organisers and officials did a fantastic job of running this great event @ Scenic Rim Adventure Park just 10 mins out of Beaudesert, QLD.
We had an absolute ball on the Mic on the Saturday as the crowds got to see an absolute display of domination by overall winner Matt Dunk (Deus Racing) in his freshly built Ultra4 RockRacer!
Both himself and Dave Camp (Rock Rash Racing) ran 16minute lap times where plus20s where the norm - It was breath taking to see the CRAZY pace that these 2 ran through the rough Stadium Area where wombat holes that stopped most to a little over a crawl where a 3/4 throttle assault for these USA/Dezert based racers!
And with the crack down on modified vehicles on the road these days - I believe this is a form of racing that is going to capture the imagination of the 4x4 scene as it progresses!

It was crazy hot out there in November - and possibly a change to a cooler part of the year may benifit the crowd that no doubt searched for any possibilty of shade that they could. The vendors area was packed with specials - as well as a number of people taking the oppurtunity to grab the Offroad Cartel Clothing Co's Buy 2 - Get 1 Free deal which is running until the end of December!
I am looking forward to the sport progressing - whilst hopefully still catering for the grass roots type racers - I'm sure 2012 is going to be a great year!
