December edition Editorial
Thanks to everyone who has made contact to say they have enjoyed the coverage so far from my trip to the US. The two part coverage of the Bantam Jeep Festival has shown how popular the event was and it will be on again next year.
The visit to Mopar headquarters last issue to view the JK8 kit has come in handy as we have been busy fitting a kit to the Jeep Action Wrangler. There will be a full report on this next issue.
This issue we cover my tour of the Toledo Assembly Complex. We were made very welcome at the complex and just towards the end of the tour one of the workers approached us from the assembly line. He had been buying Jeep Action from the US newsstands and wanted to say hello. Back in Detroit I got up close with the Nukizer and behind the wheel for a drive.
Also this issue the NZ Wainui Willys Works team compete in the Taupo 1000 race and the English Jeepers put on a great display at the War & Peace Show in
England.
Back on the home front we feature a family with a passion for old school Jeeps, a club trip report, new axles and joints for my Chief and I dig into my archive photos and share some more images from Project Perentie in the eighties.
Enjoy,
Michael Bowen
