Default 7-1-12 Powerlines night run - Pics added

Howdee Jeepers,
Lets kick off 2012 with a night trip to our old mate -the Powerlines track.
This will be the first AJOR trip for 2012 so be there or be square.
I've never done the powerlines at night but really looking forward to the experience -been meaning to do it at night for ages.

When:
Saturday 7th Jan 2012 @ 7-00PM for 7-30 roll-out

Where:
Meet at KFC carpark cnr Gt. Eastern Hwy and Stoneville Rd, Mundaring. We will then convoy up Gt Eastern Hwy for the short distance to the turn-off (probably Cole Rd) for those unsure of where to go.

Bring:
Recovery gear-hopefully not needed but always good to have, especially snatch strap.
UHF if you have one. Will decide channel on the night. I have a spare hand-held for anyone who wants to use it.
Torches, Hi-vis vest if you have one.
Aeroguard - last time I was there, the bugs were veeeery friendly.

Check:
Your spotties, high beam, reverse lights, interior lights, rock lights or any other extra lights you have.
Your tyres and ESPECIALLY your spare.
Fuel? My TJ usually starts the track with ½ tank and finishes with ¼ tank.
Top up your windscreen washer- if you get mud on your windscreen it will dry VERY fast then chew up your wiper blades- ask me how I know..
I'm thinking it will be dried out by 7th Jan though.

Allow plenty of time for this. I have done the track in 3 1/2 hours travelling by myself but have easily doubled that time travelling in larger groups or dealing with other problems.
Expect to reach the end of the track between midnight and 1-00AM.

Please advise if you want to come along so we have an idea of vehicle numbers.

Let's go night crawling

Start list:
Wes TJ
Tygras JK
Soup JK
Mitch.G TJ
Burmonster Zook
Twin Spin67 JK
Davis JK

Possible:
sully-NT TJ

Good to see a couple of enthusiastic starters - especially considering you're coming from Baldivis & Mandurah - top effort.

Good stuff Mitch - hopefully the first trip of many.
I've met a lot of decent Jeepers on AJOR trips and learned heaps as well.

The Powerlines would almost be your backyard out in the bushranger area.
