Don't forget there is a small drain hole at the base of the air box where any water (eg rain) that enters the system via the original OEM air intake or the new snorkel can drain out this hole.

Thanks for all your help guys, went down to Bremer Bay (east of Albany in WA) and had to cross the river to head out to a camp site known as House Beach. River was reasonably low on the way out but after some heavy rain Sunday night it was quite a bit higher when we crossed it Monday. Some definite pucker moments when the whole bonnet was under water but she got through it. Only issue was my DP chip got wet and started staling the engine and throwing up error codes on the trip home. Disconnect DP chip and reset codes, problem gone.

Hoping to get my hands on some photos soon, when I do, I'll post em.

Yeah love it down there, that's my third trip in the commander but the first time the river was flowing across main beach. Unfortunately the paint finish is starting to suffer from all the tight tracks.
