what welder are you welding with....are you using gasless wire or argoshield

Hey fella, im a boilermaker by trade, looking at your welds, id either turn the volts up abit or turn the wire speed down abit, just to flatten your welds out some! And you wouldnt need to grind them.

Ok, here are the finished mounting brackets.

Damxr - Yeah I can't get the consistency. I'll have a great run and then make a mess of things. I think overall I'm getting much better.
As long as it holds so I try to make sure there's penetration ... one day I might be able to keep it neat too
I knew as soon as I looked at 'round' and exhaust pipe thin I knew I was going to have difficulty. It's all a learning curve but I love welding .. not sure about doing it for a job though

Hey fella, yeh you get a little sick of it after 15yrs, but handy when building stuff for me truck! But your welds look ok, all comes with practice! Was up in cairns last wk for 3days on holiday, reckon there'd be some awesome 4b tracks up there?

your sick after 15 years .how do you think i feel after 23 years...yes you are right when you want make stuff for the jeep its easy ....
