Default The "I Bought a Jeep" campaign photos they don't want you to see

A friend just happened to come across the same model used in the Jeep ads also advertising SACE at Hamilton:

Buy a Jeep or SACE at Hamilton? - What a tough decision for this young lady - what to do?

Inspired by this sloppy piece of art direction and cheap usage of cheap stock imagery by Jeep I have made up this one, and encourage other creative Ausjeep types on here to have a go...

I'd be surprised if it doesn't happen a lot more. Getting clients to pay for exclusive rights managed or shock horror, actually paying for a photo shoot is next to impossible.

Government departments seem to be the only exception, they don't mind spending money because it's not theirs.

I like that new compass add with the girl & her pet dog.
A bit of lightheartedness in car adds is a good thing. Most of the good looking girls for some reason end up with DH's !!

Ben, stop typing and open up photoshop

Stock photography is used all the time and some is cheap to buy, some isn't, but I wonder if Jeep is spewing that 'their' photo is being used at the same time by someone else for something else.
One thing to have the same photo of "business men shaking hands" or "call centre lady with headset" that you see scattered around all blogs, web and print media.
But the same "content smiling blonde with grey sweater" is a first for me.

I am only interested because it's about Jeeps. Don't do enough lurking on bank and superannuation web sites to notice when they double up

And I am a keen user and photographic contributer to Istockphoto.com

Jeep usually do a good job with their marketing and especially TV ads

Mind you, it just takes one little 6 minute story on ACA about burning Jeeps on a beach for everyone you meet to tell you they are dangerous cause "don't they catch fire all the time?"

I know, it's all we pretty much use these days. Sadly some clients just can't understand why we can't just photoshop the girl so she's standing sideways.

As for istock, ever since Getty bought them their prices have rocketed. We mainly use shutterstock for cheap stuff.
