[QUOTE=briteway;1263607]Yeah, HD2's a great phone. They've built it ahead of it's time. And still looks slick compared to the new phones out there. I have 2 of them and both running Android. I have 4 Android roms on them that I can easily switch to. My favourites are the CM7.2 Gingerbread, CM7 Honeycomb, CM9 Ice Cream Sandwich and Desire HD Sense (just because of sense). I'll have to check out XDA in regards to the Toastie as well. I don't like WP7 on it, it's smooth and all that but too restricted like the iPhone. I don't use WM6.5 on it, it's wiped off./QUOTE]

Ive been on dorimanx rom for a few months now 2.3.7 before that american android, just waiting for all the hardware acceleration to be resolved for nexus ics 4.0.3, mainly for 7.2 video and hd screen i think. XDA boys are on to it fast, brob done already. I thought i read that someone was working on full usb support for the hd2, imagine plugging your fone into any usb port and accessing that machine like your windows pc..
Last night a friend of mine pulled into the driveway with the latest gc overland hemi --- wow had a bit of fun comparing it to mine.

thanks briteway for thinking about the temps still. we had some real hot days. outside 37deg intake was 40 but when stationary it rose up to 58 and once to 62. i dont think the factory intake would do that although it didnt bother the engine at all. In hot off road situations it would bother me to much so ths winter i'm going to go the reverse scoop idea as i dont want to move the second battery.

Well, just FYI, I recall yesterday morning travelling on the freeway, ambient temp = 25 deg, intake 30 deg. Then when I was on the offramp, waiting fairly long on the traffic light, intake temp went up to 40 and 45 deg. Then when I started driving again, it went back to 30 deg.

Similar thing for coolant temp, on the freeway 90 deg, sitting on traffic lights 99 deg, then went back to 90 when driving.

In terms of ROMs, I tried the Dorimanx (Honeycomb) but have Typhoon running on one phone and AmeriCan Android on the other, which are easily switched over to other ROMs via MAGLDR.

Well been playing with my set up this weekend and the 2.7 CRD does get the basics, which is good for me though I would like Tranny temps. Still trying to figure out how to get the log data so it makes some sense.
Going to look for someones "old Android" phone and set it up on a mount just for this programme as the Tablet is a pain, am actually looking at a set up to hook all the data up to the laptop in the shed so no stuffing around, did find that I can sit inside and still recieve the signal from the Jeep out in the shed.
Great for a rainy weekend to figure things out.

When you download the software you have options for vehicle specific enhancements.

Have been running this app for awhile now. I got a cheap n nasty blutooth OBDII from China for about 12 bucks I think and never had a problem.

Really interesting - thanks for this.
From what I can tell above should work with the 2012 Overland I've ordered (right?), but my question is does this OBD2 unit interface with the Jeep over bluetooth or does it need to be plugged in somewhere in the Jeep - thereby only talking bluetooth to the Android phone ? (I read somewhere that the unit doesn't need batteries - so I assume it has to get power from the car ?)
