Unhappy Suggestions for radiator replacement in Melbourne

Hi all,
Ok, it finally got worse. I hadn't cleaned the radiator well enough after the little excursion last weekend and didn't realize how much mud was between radiator and condensor units. It got rather warm today but pulled over and stopped before any damage has been done. I always carry spare coolant in case of emergency.
Now there is a very annoying leak from the front passenger side of the radiator, I've known about it for a little while and it hasn't been much of a drama, coolant loss has only beena round 1/2 a litre a week with normal around town driving.
It's a 2003 WG V8 Limited and I had a quote on it a little while ago, but aside from Jeepers Beepers and Poly 4X4 anyother recommendations to get it replaced.
Anyone have any experience with any other radiator places around town that know Jeeps?
I probably could do it myself, but with several different sizes available I'm not sure which it would be and I have only 3 days to get it done in.
I'm in Preston but it doesn't matter which suburb or which side of town, I'll drive to someone who knows these things and won't rip me off.
Cheers
Tim

Hey Tim, I had Melbourne Wide Auto Radiators in Heidelberg West fit an Adrad radiator to my Grand about a year ago, all up the cost was about $670 - after I talked them UP in price! Poly and Northern quoted nearly $2k claiming it to be a massive job, MWAR said it would take about an hour hence I talked them up to 2 hours. There was also a cheaper radiator available for nearly $200 less.

I did have the new radiator leak very very slightly from an o-ring seal just behind the filler (while I was on a rather long Red Centre trip!) however it didn't cause any major headaches and MWAR sealed it up upon my return - can supply pics if you like.

I would not recommend Jeepers Beepers as I had them fit an alternator while I waited just prior to the above mentioned trip, they are pretty rough and completely forgot to attach a critical support strut - lucky I checked their work when I got home.

I also got a quote from Aussie Desert Coolers and think I should have really gone with them as I would prefer more cooling ability; the Adrad works the same as the stock radiator, this is a much more expensive option however...

Cheers mate, thanks for that. A year on which radiator would you suggest? I, like yourself , like a little extra cooling.
Which radiator did you go with and what did Aussie desert suggest and quote.
I'm going to get quotes tomorrow and hopefully get it done either tomorrow or Tuesday.
Cheers
Tim

Don't go Aussie Desert Coolers
If you want more cooling give Race Radiators in Dandy a call

Thanks guys, I went to Melbourne Wide Auto Radiators and booked it in for Wednesday. $520 flushed, checked and fitted. New thermostat on top of that if needed. Where can I get a thermostat in Melbourne at a realistic price tomorrow?
