If your going to use the Jeep for Serious Off roading the decision is easy

I have run the last 4 mjoc musters and helped with the 2010 Jeep jamboree
The only vehicles on B or A grade trips are wranglers Cj, TJ or JK
may have 1 in 100 being a grand or KJ

TJ and JK's are easy to mod - they are a big mechanio car - just add what ever you like

if you aren't going to offroad i'd go the KJ

I've owned a KJ petrol and those tj figures are accurate for KJ petrol
my tj 6spd does 13l per km open road and 17-18 in town

if you run 30's with std on a 6spd a tj can get as low as 10l per 100k regularly got 500k out of tank before modifcations

KJ........11.5 around town and 9.5 on long runs wouls be a diesel kj
