There are no relays in the TPIM it's all power mosfets. If its gone U/S it's an expensive fix.

Dont disagree, even if the "relays" are solid state they can still be repaired but it wont be cheap.
The manual does refer to the TPIM as housing all the relays..that might be lingo and not technically correct.

DESCRIPTION
The power distribution system for this vehicle consists of the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) and related fuses, relays and wiring connectors.
OPERATION
The power distribution system for this vehicle is designed to provide safe, reliable, centralized, and convenient to access, distribution of the electrical current required to operate all of the many standard and optional factory-installed electrical and electronic powertrain, chassis, safety, comfort and convenience systems. At the same time, these systems were designed to provide centralized locations for conducting diagnosis of faulty circuits, and for sourcing the additional current requirements of many aftermarket vehicle accessory and convenience items.

These power distribution systems also incorporate various types of circuit control and protection features, including fuses and relays.

Buggar you cant just pull or tap a transistor of Fet to check operation haha!
Matt.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the headlights from
BCM to headlight and from BCM to battery?
Hoping I might have a short somewhere before I start looking at the BCM

Sorry mate I dont, with the workshop manual CD the wiring diagrams will only work on IE 5 or something like that, most of us are well past that with updates.

I will talk to the network nerds at work and see if there is anyway I can partition or safe mode a laptop or something so I can run the IE required.

Matt.

RE: macca's workshop CD issue, did you try enabling compatibility mode in IE?

Failing that navigate to to the actual files on the CD and open them with Firefox or Chrome. May not work but eh you never know.

Stroked AFAIK the wiring for the RH headlight runs from the TIPM along the firewall and then down the inside of the quarter panel in a black ribbed conduit. There's also some wiring which runs past the steering box which can be easily damaged but I don't know if it is relevant.

Being a V6 it may be wise to investigate the wiring around the TIPM and battery as the plastic tray on this side is known to melt from engine heat.
