Default Sparky help please...
When testing sensors etc, why do you have to use an analogue meter? Why can't a digital meter be used?

at guess maybe the digital sends to much current down it to handle?

A digital meter is best used for measuring a static value

an analouge meter is best for measuring a dynamic value this is because the eye can easily detect the change on a needle that moves

most sensors have a range they operate in sometimes they even end up with a dead spot in the middle with an analogue gauge as you take the sensor through its range you will see a dip of the needle but with a digital meter numbers moving they jump around so much good chance you will miss any real change pattern
