Default Alternator dead?

Hey guys just got home after leaving the XJ at toombul rd
I'm thinkin my alternator has died so not very impressed at the moment.

Heres how it went down; driving along in traffic and the radio cuts out, I look at the volt reader and it says its dead, then the tacos stoop working and the gearbox went soon after that and wouldnt shift out of 1st, so I stopped at the nearest safe point and the car ran realllyyy rough almost stalling then died.

I have the battery on charge at the moment and ill be going back out to recover my car before it gets towed.

So XJ guru's am I correct on thinking my alternator has shat itself? while sittin there I brought it up to 2000rpm and it didnt wanna charge.

cheers for any feedback

Might be a silly question but is your drive belt still there?

Ashdown Ingram at Virginia is auto electric wholesaler, they supply Repco, sell to the public. Don't think they're open tomorrow tho :/ If you go to Repco ask them if they can do E3 trade for you...if they ask what company just make something up tho my local one (Lawnton) never asks

Hey Dudzy, I bought a 2nd hand one off Jj and it's still sitting doing nothing - will rebuild it one day for a 'just in case', you're welcome to it to test and check stuff, or to get around until you get sorted. You have to come get it though - up to you. Cleveland. (that's what this site's about right?) Ph me/txt me 0428263257 after 6am tomorrow
