You might want to have the fuel rail relief valve looked at. I had the same problem in my Navara. When the rail pressure gets too high (high RPMS) and your relief valve is clogged or malfunctioning the computer goes into limp mode and can only be reset by turning off the engine for about 10 seconds. Nissan replaced my relief valve and it hasn't happened since.

Ok, sounds like another option. How much was your relief valve?

It was a while ago but I think it was just over $100 + installation. It's about the size of a fuel injector on a petrol engine. It's fixed it totally.

A further update on my engine cutting out issue.

The engine did not cut out for almost 700klms until interestingly it happened again on the exact same left hand sweeping ramp onto expressway where it happened the last time.

This got me thinking that it seemed an incredible coincidence that it happened at the exact same spot. My theory then focused on the sweeping left hand turn.

I tested this again on another sweeping left hand on ramp...sure enough bang, engine cut out. If I turn key off and turn on again after a few seconds engine starts.

Please ay thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
